Estimated Specification and Savings

SNRG funds and operates onsite renewable energy systems through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), helping energy-intensive industrial and commercial sites—those using over 500,000 kWh of electricity annually—cut bills and carbon without the upfront cost.

SNRG Solar PPA,
Simplified

Solar power used at the point of generation is one
of the lowest-cost forms of electricity. But unlocking
those savings typically requires a significant upfront investment, plus ongoing maintenance over the system’s 25–30 year lifespan.

SNRG removes that barrier through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

With a PPA, SNRG funds, installs, and maintains the solar panels on your property, usually at no upfront cost. You simply purchase the solar electricity generated at a fixed, pre-agreed rate.

This gives you access to clean, low-cost energy without the capital expense or operational hassle, while locking in a predictable electricity price for the term of the PPA.

Understanding Your
Potential Savings

Over a single year, your potential savings come from the difference between the grid electricity rate, the SNRG PPA rate, and how much solar electricity your building uses.

Over the lifetime of a solar system (25–30 years), estimating savings becomes more complex, as we need to consider how grid electricity prices may change. While future prices are uncertain, UK Government data shows that average non-domestic electricity prices rose by 554% between 2004 and 2023 — an average annual increase of around 11%.

To help estimate your potential long-term savings, we’ve modelled two scenarios:

Scenario 1: Grid electricity prices increase by 4% per year

Scenario 2: Grid electricity prices increase by 6% per year

The SNRG PPA rate has a fixed 3% annual increase, offering predictable solar electricity costs. Between 2004 and 2023, only four years saw average non-domestic electricity prices rise by less than 3%.
