Background
Wonder World is Scotland’s biggest soft play provider. The company was looking for a solution to reduce its energy costs at its venues in Falkirk and Kirkcaldy.
The roof at Kirkcaldy also required repairs, which added to the potential costs ahead of a solar installation.
Solution
SNRG has provided 769 solar panels across the two Wonder World venues.
A total of 293kWp of solar PV has been provided across the two sites. Any excess electricity generated will be exported to the Grid.
SNRG’s Power Purchase Agreement allows businesses to benefit from solar while paying no upfront costs, and no ongoing maintenance fees.
In the case of Wonder World, the agreement with SNRG also paid for the roof improvements at Kirkcaldy.
Results
SNRG’s fully-funded retrofit solution will save Wonder World an estimated £25,000 per year in energy costs, while also reducing carbon emissions.
