How SNRG Does It

We design, fund, build and operate the next generation all-electric solution. It’s a synergy (SNRG) of locally integrated electrical distribution, renewable generation, smart storage, heating, cooling and EV charging solutions. By taking a communal approach that optimises hundreds of homes, buildings and assets into a single system we are able to reduce the cost, complexity and carbon for developers, building owners, communities and occupiers.

SNRG Praised After Supplying SmartGrid for Sustainable Housing

SNRG has supplied a solar and battery SmartGrid on behalf of the Hook Norton Community Land Trust (HNCLT) in Oxfordshire. The development has been built by Greencore Homes and designed by Charlie Luxton, renowned TV presenter and sustainable architectural designer. SNRG also collaborated with Hook Norton Low Carbon and the Hooky Car Club. The Hook Norton project is a mixed-use new build and retrofit project. There are 12 new passivhaus-standard homes - four houses and eight flats - plus a new community centre, cafe and two motel rooms. An existing sports centre already had a large solar array, but couldn't use all of the energy it produced. SNRG integrated the sports centre into the SmartGrid, so that the excess solar could be used by the homes or stored in the battery. This reduces the cost for the sports centre and residents. SNRG will also manage 5 new EV chargers, powered by the SmartGrid, for the communal Hooky Car Club. Dan Farmiloe, of Hook Norton Low Carbon, said: “ My own job role frequently interacts with the construction industry and infrastructure providers, and I can say without qualification that SNRG has been the best firm I have ever worked with on...

SNRG Scores Solar Savings For Bradford City AFC

SNRG is installing solar panels on the stadium roof at Bradford City football club before the start of the new season. At the University of Bradford Stadium, SNRG is funding, installing and operating 200kw of solar PV on the stadium roof - a total of 472 solar panels and five inverters. This will save Bradford City an estimated £10,000 a year in energy costs, while avoiding emitting 17 tons of carbon dioxide in the first year alone. The energy generated by the solar panels will help to power the whole stadium, with any excess released to the national grid. The club leases the ground, and while short-term leases can often rule out long-term solar projects, SNRG has again successfully negotiated with the landlord to overcome this hurdle. SNRG is in talks with more football clubs to follow Bradford’s example and cut costs and carbon with solar. If you want to make contact with one of our team, please do so here. SNRG Hails UKREiiF 2024 A Success

SNRG won acclaim from developers, housebuilders, local authorities and businesses at UKREiiF 2024 - the forum for real estate investment and infrastructure. Held again in Leeds, UKREiiF saw SNRG’s impressive stand, and its expert team, situated right next to that of the government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. A steady flow of people came to learn more about SNRG’s Place Based Power offering, and many new contacts were made and relationships formed. SNRG also sponsored a panel discussion - Funding Renewables and Resolving Grid Constraints for All-Electric New Build Developments. It was chaired by Dan Nicholls, Chief Product Officer at SNRG, alongside Rebecca Warren, Strategic Development Consultant at Pinsent Masons; Tom Veli, Head of Energy Networks at LCP Delta; Elizabeth Orchard, Strategic Land Technical Director for Endelevu Ltd. and Ptarmigan Land; and Aditi Tulpule, Regulatory Compliance Director at SNRG. UKREiiF welcomed more than 10,000 people at the main event, and 2,500 more at fringe events, including more than 1,500 investors. The number of speakers passed 700 across 30 stages, with more than 250 local authorities also represented. The three-day event brought together the public sector from every major UK city and region, alongside government, funders, developers, housebuilders and...
